Cambridge Assessment English helps people learn English and prove their skills to the world. We are looking for a high achieving Business Development Manager to join us. With experience gained in either Corporate training, government or Higher Education sectors you will have proven experience of driving growth and closing high value deals in South and East China area.
Driving the revenue growth
Reporting to the Head of Business Development, China, the Business Development Manager for Higher Education and Corporate Sector will be responsible for leading the promotion of our qualifications and tests in higher education markets, as well as in adult and corporate sector, driving the revenue growth and increasing market share of our tests and qualifications in South and East China areas.
Pursing new business opportunities
With the full responsibility to land big value deals and deliver against challenging commercial targets set, you will produce, implement and evaluate the strategic business plans. Promoting our tests and qualifications, in conjunction with the Head of Business Development, China, you’ll identify and effectively pursue new business opportunities to grow the market, keeping us on track to meet our targets.
Be our brand ambassador
Key to your success will be your ability to strengthen the brand awareness and recognition with local government, Higher Education institutions and employers, and you will work with key accounts and agents to develop the market in Higher Education and Corporate sector. You’ll deliver promotional presentations and training events, attend conferences, events and seminars, contributing to the overall growth of our business in China.
Market intelligence
Collaborating with area managers as well as test centres to maintain and develop the network as appropriate to the market demand, you will also produce reports to provide visibility and transparency of business development activities informing decision making, including report on market intelligence, challenges and risks.
What we’re looking for
A graduate level of education, you will be collaborative, responsible and innovative. With a minimum of 5 years experience of working in Higher Education institutions or Adult training sectors, you will have proven experience of driving growth and closing high value deals in China.
You will have excellent communications skills in both English and Mandarin (at least C1 in both), and knowledge of language assessment would be an advantage.
