We are now looking for an Automotive Hardware Application Engineer:
What you'll be doing:

  • Work with automobile manufacturers and Tier1 suppliers, on the development of groundbreaking, high-end Autonomous Driving systems. Designs will also include machine intelligence for driver assistance utilizing Nvidia's newest technology.

  • Review, debug, and support customer hardware designs, such as verifying schematic and layout to meet design requirements.

  • Become the go-to master for all customer technical and hardware inquires. This will involve working with our system architects, silicon characterization engineers, marketing and board design engineers.

  • Write and qualify documentation to support customers, such as product data sheets, design guides, and application notes.

What we need to see:

  • BS+ in Electrical Engineering /Computer Engineering and 5 plus years of relevant experience.

  • Good English language (oral & written) communication skills

  • Expert-level knowledge on processor/SoC interfaces & peripherals (e.g. USB, PCIE, SPI, UART, I2C, I2S) and memory subsystem design, both at an electrical and protocol-level and design of power trees for high performance SoCs

  • Proficient with reading and detailed understanding through hardware design collateral such as schematics and layout.

  • Proven hardware debugging skills with using high speed scopes and logic analyzers.

  • Can-do attitude, good planning, self-motivated, co-work with cross teams to achieve the goal with minimum supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a customer service demeanor.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Comprehensive system level debugging skill, including silicon chip, PCB circuit, SW stack, mechanical, power, thermal, EMC, reliability, etc.

  • Expertise with PCB design - schematic capture / layout, bring-up, and debug.

  • Exposure and experience in Automotive, functional safety field are a plus but not required.
