Manufacturing Quality Engineer supporting ATMC's 200mm 90nm factory.  
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supports manufacturing device/engineering teams,  aligns with Business Line teams for Automotive, Radar, and High Power devices
  • Utilize data analytics to help identify customer return common causes and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions across a wide range of products and technologies
  •  Prepare Corrective action reports and submit as part of a comprehensive 8D for all customer complaints
  • Participate as part of the Change Action Board, ensuring proper execution of the process, data evaluation and mitigation of risks to product
  • Work as part of cross-functional teams to evaluate the impact of process deviations and ensure risk mitigation and decision making align with NXP’s commitment to Total Quality
  • Key interface with overseas Customer Quality Engineering team
  • Establish, monitor and develop improvement plans for quality key performance indicators
  • Actively engaged in risk evaluations, change control processes, and customer returns

Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with passion for driving to true root cause
  • The strategic, analytic, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent
  • The communication skills to effectively influence global teams and manage conflict in ways that build relationships and trust with internal business partners, suppliers and customers
  • Six-sigma Green/Black Belt training highly desired, as is a working knowledge of Power BI
  • Required software skills include the Microsoft Suite of tools  (including pivot tables) and statistical data analysis tools such as JMP
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methods including Six Sigma, DMAIC, FMEA, 8D, 3x5 why as well as leading (automotive) quality systems (ISO9001, IATF16949) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Front End process flow, SPC standards, 8d process, risk management and change control procedures required
  • Successful candidates will possess outstanding communication skills and ability to successfully lead projects within Austin region
