Bring your career aspirations to life with AIA!This position will be pivotal for the development and implementation of an effective Technology Risk 2nd line of defense function for Group AIA providing risk oversight and advise.
In close collaboration with Group Technology function as 1st line of defense a pro-active and efficient Technology Governance across the Group will be defined leveraging AIA’s best in class toolset and technologies.
Enhance & implement the overall AIA Technology Risk framework and approach in support of the AIA Group and its business units.
  • Design, implement and enhance technology risk framework and processes for governance, risk and control including review of current policies, guidelines, and procedures over technology risk.
  • Implement effective proactive risk & control data analytics; define and build KPI and KRI reporting and leverage existing metrics and risk dashboards to support effective qualitative and quantitative risk reporting.
  • Proactively identify and effectively communicate emerging technology risks and opportunities to stakeholder at all levels of the organization.
  • Increase awareness and enhance risk culture across the organization and provide day to day risk and control advise as trusted 2nd line subject matter expert.
  • Champion and advocate the ownership of technology risk management, ensure risks are understood and managed within approved risk thresholds.
  • Support the creation of a Technology Risk & Control Innovation CoE and establish an effective network of SMEs for all critical technology domains.
  • Establish strong relationships across AIA and understand strategic goals of business counterparts to assure their technology risks are adequately understood and mitigated.
  • Provide 2nd line reviews of risk assessments and business cases to identify key risks and gaps as required and provide assurance on the effectiveness of the technology and information risk controls and oversee the operationalization of control processes.
  • Provide security and control review on major technology initiatives to ensure that Group Security standards and requirement are met, and risk mitigation are appropriately implemented
  • Provide advisory in the development of Group Security policy and standards, and local process to meet the standard requirements for LBU.
  • Support Technology Risk and Control Self-Assessment (CSA) and effective risk management practices and recommend actions to be taken as needed via various risk committees for execution.
  • Assist IT related regulatory inspections and external audits and provide advisory when needed.

  • 15+ years of technology risk management experience in complex international environments, preferably in insurance or financial services sector.
  • Deep and broad technology understanding on emerging and current standards and best practices regarding security and technology platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise technologies (Cloud, DevOps etc.).  
  • Strong knowledge of Technology Risk Standards and Industry Standards frameworks as well as relevant of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in design and implementation of enterprise policy frameworks including policy / technical writing expertise.
  • Ideally hands on data analytics expertise leveraging common tools and platform allowing the deep analysis and proactive identification of emerging risk and control issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant programming languages / tool sets such as Python, PowerBI, PowerApps, Office 365 etc a definite advantage.
  • Experience in first line technical roles such as developer, programmer, architect, software engineering, data analysts would be advantageous 
  • Industry experience from Financial Services, Technology, eCommerce or specialist consulting firms would be preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, management and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Relevant certifications an advantage, i.e. Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree holder in Information Technology, Risk Management or related disciplines.
