  • Manage and maximize the profitability of the assigned SBUs.
  • Manage and maximize the profitability of the assigned OMP production asset in China.
  • Optimize product portfolio:
    1) Short-term wise: by day-to-day monitoring of portfolio's margin performance and asset utilization to drive continuous margin improvement and maximization.
    2) Mid/long term wise: a) as the process owner to drive/expedite the process of new product launch (localization/transfer) b) by seeking low profitable products bottom slicing/ portfolio pruning.
  • Lead and/or coordinate with cross functional team members (incl. SCM, sales, R&D, production etc.) in various product related projects/tasks, e.g. new product launch, Raw material qualification, NCMs.

Main Tasks
Margin optimization:
  • Analyze SBU / Asset profitability and its development trend to identify existing / potential gaps to yearly budget, strategic growth path and portfolio management targets.
  • Provide early warnings, and seek/drive corrective actions to fill the margin gaps identified, in cooperation with cross functional teams incl. sales, R&D, production, SCM etc.
  • Conduct regular product portfolio analysis and propose measures for improving overall margin level of the portfolio.
  • Act as check-point for special price and rebate schemes.
  • Perform product cost benchmarking and recommend tactical approach towards competition.
  • Perform site benchmarking and suggest site portfolio improvement measures for site margin maximization. Work as a process owner in production coordination and capacity management on new product launch, raw material change, production relocation.
  • For non-OMP products, work closely with regional & global product management team to implement regional defined strategy for business development, process improvement, and specific product action plans.
  • Support investment planning, particularly the local ACP capacities.
  • Other assigned projects.

  • Education: Bachelor degree or above, major in chemical process, chemistry, marketing, finance/controlling or relevant.
  • Working Experience:At least 5 years experience in product mgmt. and/or mgmt. of other commercial /business areas. Commercial experience in chemical upstream market is highly regarded.
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: (Please be measurable and specific) 1) Strong financial skills and business sense in profitability, asset return analysis.2)Strong project management and communication skills with cross functional teams.3)Familiar with the products and the application of the Dispersions in various industries (coating, painting, adhesive, fiber bonding, paper etc.) as a plus.
