Assistant Director, Marketing (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II)in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.:503394) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Communication or an equivalent professional qualification, with a minimum of 7-9 years’ experience with proven success in leading marketing efforts in regional markets. Prior experience in digital marketing is essential to the post. They should have excellent oral and written communication skills; be creative, resourceful, tactful, and capable of managing multiple tasks under deadline; and be able to work in a fast-paced and high performing start-up environment. They should also be results-driven and effective team players with a strong sense of customer orientation; and able to demonstrate experience in and understanding of managing and representing a premium brand such as HKU Executive Education. They should be self-motivated and a keen team player with positive outlook, integrity, bias for action, tolerance for process, sense of humour, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as knowledge of data analysis and report writing.
The appointee is expected to develop and implement the overall marketing and B2B /B2C sales strategy, with an approach incorporating branding, lead-generation, engagement-building, and inquiry-conversion strategies to achieve business objectives across programme segments (open enrollment and custom); elevate and reinforce the brand and experience throughout the customer journey to ensure that all programmes meet brand standards and business goals; maintain quality and consistency of data as well as data intelligence for actionable analysis, with a robust and thorough understanding of digital marketing tools; and lead in planning, monitoring, and refining media online and print advertising, SEM/SEO, social media, email marketing, event strategy, and the launch of new Executive Education programmes. He/She will assess and evaluate the current systems in place and make improvement for overall efficacy; manage marketing platforms such as website, LinkedIn etc.; measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (including search and social media campaigns) such as tracking and reporting of trends and engagement through an analytical approach and provide recommendations for optimal resource allocation. He/She will develop and manage agency partner relationships (strategy/ branding agency, media buying/ planning, online programmes marketing/ selling) to achieve business goals aligned to budget allocations; work in partnership with cross-functional departmental counterparts to support and maintain an account-based go-to-market strategy; identify and evaluate new partnership marketing opportunities to elevate brand and increase prospect pool. He/She needs to develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of Executive Education’s internal and external environment in order to respond strategically to business needs; develop and execute marketing strategy including development of collateral, website, programme pages and content, and marketing positioning; and maintain an understanding of current and future trends in business and the concerns of executives, as well as the primary areas of interest of faculty at HKU Business School. He/She will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus and may be required to work outside normal office hours.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefit.
