MORE ABOUT THIS JOB
Alternatives Capital Markets & Strategy(ACMS) is a firmwide group established in 2019 to oversee all institutional capital markets, capital raising, and strategy for alternative investments throughout Goldman Sachs. Engaging with both Goldman Sachs’ proprietary direct-investing programs and external managers’ open-architecture strategies, the ACMS Group centrally manages capital raising for all alternatives products and portfolio solutions for all institutional investors in alternatives, across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondaries, GP stakes, impact investing, and absolute-return strategies.
The Capital Markets team within ACMS is responsible for coordinating the intersection of product team priorities, sales teams, and investing clients of the Firm. The team centrally manages the fundraising calendar across all Alternatives product campaigns and is responsible for curating the product suite by sales channel. The team is highly integrated with the Client Strategy and Product Strategy pillars within ACMS, and serves three primary functions:
(1) Campaign Management: delivering an institutionalized and consistent approach to each campaign, the capital markets team works closely with the product-specific investor relations teams throughout the fundraising process and communicates and drives follow-up with the ACMS Client Strategy leads and generalist sales force.
(2) Strategy & Sales Management: centralizing the fundraising process across multiple product offerings requires the gathering and synthesis of data and providing sales analytics to enhance and optimize the fundraising process; the team is responsible for budgeting, revenue projections and resource allocation across fundraising campaigns.
(3) Communications: The Capital Markets team controls both internal and external communications among various constituents including clients, prospects, sales leadership, client coverage, investment team leadership and the executive office, working in close partnership with the ACMS Product Strategy teams and ACMS Portfolio Research & Analytics team to develop and distribute content for Alternatives clients and prospects. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
