Job Description :
Responsibilities:
  • Be the focal point of contact for quant team and trading desks, with regards to all algorithmic trading related topics
  • Monitor all algorithmic trading systems. Ensure the systems are performing as expected and address any potential issues
  • Support all systematic and model issues/requests. Manage and track production issues/requests on a daily basis
  • Liaise with & escalate to development or quant teams when needed. Also work with the other relevant teams (middle office, compliance, offshore teams, etc) to ensure effective & timely resolution. Manage efficient and wise communications to MSS clients (quant teams and trading desks)
  • Work closely with other application support teams in APAC region. Coach & assist regional support teams in order to grow their knowledge and expertise in algorithm trading topics
  • Lead the algorithmic support team in Hong Kong. Lead by example and disseminate the success of APAC support model to NAM and EMEA algorithmic support teams
  • Create & provide documentation for algorithmic trading systems
  • Incident management - Lead the problem management process to perform the incident root cause analysis and ensure preventive actions are implemented
  • Change management - Coordinate production releases of algorithmic trading systems, including models, analytics and container
  • Project management - Assist projects initiated by the quants team, business desks, technology PM. Lead projects initiated by the global production support management

Knowledge/Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in application production support or development, preferably with prior experience in electronic execution or algorithm trading
  • Excellent communication skills especially when handling MSS clients (quants, sales traders, etc) in stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent process and task management skills with strong focus on day-to-day BAU tasks
  • Experience in ITIL ServiceNow for change management and incident management
  • Experience in ITRS monitoring
  • Experience in Python scripts development/enhancement

Skills:
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong financial skills, analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Solid understanding of various algorithm trading strategies. eg. VWAP, TWAP, etc.
  • Knowledge in algorithm analytics, live market data & referential data management
  • Knowledge in DMA and DSA orders support, and the order flow / life cycle
  • Knowledge in exchange rules/limits of the major APAC markets
  • Basic knowledge in dark pool and smart order routing
  • Basic scripting skills (including Python, SQL, KDB, Unix/Linux, etc)
  • Basic knowledge and experience in FIX protocol
