Manulife is looking for a junior actuary for the product pricing function of the individual business. The candidate will be exposed to a diversified portfolio of projects to help Manulife leading in the dynamic market.

We are looking for someone with:
  • Internationally recognized actuarial designation such as FSA/FCIA, or in final stage of attaining the fellowship.
  • At least 3 years of actuarial experience, while HKRBC / distribution compensation related / direct business product pricing experience will be preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skill, both written and oral.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with demanding deadlines.

On the job you will:
  • Participate in design and revamp compensation for different channels based on experience and to support key channel initiatives (e.g. agency / bancasurrance / brokerage compensation, financing schemes, sales incentive scheme, and etc).
  • Work on regular compensation review and approval.
  • Support actuarial pricing optimization projects such as projects in developing and implementing new pricing methodologies, assumptions and models for HKRBC and IFRS17.
  • Participate in a wide range of pricing functions on rotation basis, including product pricing (participating products, protection products, universal life and investment linked products), sales campaign and initiatives, experience studies, new business planning, special quotations, investment strategy design and risk monitoring.
  • Execute pricing strategy in response to the changing regulatory environment, financial reporting requirements as well as financial and risk target of the group.
  • Advise on system implementation for new product and product maintenance. Lead actuarial students to conducts user acceptance test.
