Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage a team of staff to deliver timely and high quality deliverables related to IFRS
  • Ensure timely and correctness of results as prepared by the team on the valuation and business projection process and other duties/special projects related to financial reporting & budge
  • Ensure the compliance of various financial reporting requirements from group office and regulators

Drive continuous improvement in system, process and approach to automate and streamline reporting process to facilitate faster closing.
Collaborate with internal and external working partners to ensure smooth IFRS reporting process
Unfold team capacity in order to be more dynamic, insightful and influential.
  • Coach and develop team member
  • Encourage team members to take challenge and facilitate growth

Support other actuarial projects as required by performing financial projections and profitability analysis for annual and ad hoc exercise
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • University / College graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration or related subject with at least 6 years’ experience in life insurance industry.
  • Attained Fellowship in Actuarial professional examination
  • Sound people management and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation and project management skills.
  • Ability to deal with and handle multiple priorities.
  • Solid experience and knowledge in insurance product and corporate actuarial work. Experience and knowledge in IFRS/USGAAP, embedded value, HKIO basis, economic capital is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. VBA), Actuarial Software, e.g. Prophet is an advantage

The incumbent is required to obtain relevant license if the job involves in regulated activities.
For manager:  Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements.
