JobSummary

The GBS ODC OperationsManager is responsible for managing a departmental operations under thecommercial service delivery. This position monitors operations performanceresults, develops and executes action plans to ensure business goals areachieved. He/She is responsible for developing action plans which address rootcause to ensure the proper customer experience. This position may manage otherswithin the department.

Job Duties

  • Reviewsoperating plans to evaluate performance indicators (e.g. shipment per hour, quality,etc.)

  • Assessesperformance indicators to determine areas meeting and falling below businessexpectations.

  • Createsand executes cost, quality, and production action plans and reports to evaluatedepartmental progress.

  • Createsdepartmental metrics and tools to achieve scorecard objectives and monitorperformance.

  • Createsand oversees the execution of action plans to ensure operational efficiencies.

  • Performscrisis planning to develop contingencies and mitigate risk to UPS.

  • Managesoperation to ensure first contact resolution and accuracy to ensure the propercustomer experience.

  • Identifiesoperational changes (i.e. equipment and staffing) as needed to ensure calls arehandled efficiently and service commitments are met.

  • Developsannual department business plan, cost analyses, and impact reports to supportdepartmental operations

  • Managesresources and people processes (e.g. Quality Performance Review (QPR), CareerDevelopment, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day to day administrationof process and formal procedures.

  • Assesses Business Needs - Identifies,measures, and monitors customer and business needs in order to createsolutions, make decisions and take appropriate actions.

  • Budget Management - Determinesfinancial resources required to meet goals. Allocate funds. Identifies andresolves discrepancies between available and required funds.

  • Meeting Facilitation - Conductseffective meetings by remaining neutral, promoting open discussion, providingstructure and process for engagement, advocating collaboration, cultivatingshared responsibility, and building consensus and agreement. Summarizes others’contribution and deals constructively with argument or conflicts.

  • Report Generation - Accessesappropriate databases, writes information queries, and produces customizedreports. Interprets and clarifies data, as necessary.

  • Talent Acquisition -Evaluates labor markets and devises strategies to source, attract, hire andplace talent needed for company success.

Qualificationsand Requirements

  • Bachelors/College Degree as minimum requirement

  • Prior experience managing adepartment

  • Excellent strategic thinking& analytical skills (solid decision making, planning and organization,process analysis and strategic planning)

  • Willing to relocate

  • Open to work on night shiftschedule

  • Ability to travel

  • Eligible to work in the Philippines
