Senior Support Engineer

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Support Engineer based in Hongkong to provide technical support of the various products to Sales, Field Engineering, and Product Engineering. Provide management with a regular status of the open technical support issues. Work with Operations, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to resolve issues in a timely fashion. Assist Field staff as needed to fix problems with deployments. Work closely with the Operations team to resolve systems issues. Disseminate technical information about the Support organization to personnel in the field. Review financial market data. Other duties and responsibilities include:

• Provide effective technical support to the Field

• Provide effective technical support to Customers

• Provide technical assistance to the Field in pre-sales engagements as needed

• Assist Operations and the Field to ensure the successful installation of products

• Coordinate resolution of technical issues through the Engineering organization and escalate as necessary

• Interact with Exegy Operations, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to help the product work continuously

• Proactively communicate pertinent issues with other teams on a regular basis

Qualifications, skills and experience required

• Minimum BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

• Working knowledge of C & C++ and JAVA programming skills, including knowledge and experience of debugging tools like gdb

• Working knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux

• Working knowledge of network protocols and tools – IP, UDP, TCP, sockets, etc

• Experience with complex system debugging techniques

• Experience with Object Oriented Design and concepts

• Experience with financial market data and direct market feeds

• Ability to communicate internally both written and orally, including presentations on technical areas
