The Senior Scientist will be primarily performing routine scientific work, independently evaluating, selecting and applying standardized scientific procedures and techniques to projects with clear objectives or investigations with limited variables/complex features.
Lead technical development on tackifier dispersions & provide customers technical support in Asia.
Set up and commission dispersion testing and application capability at KIC-SHA.
Benchmark tackifier dispersion offering (current and future) in regional polymer systems.
Guide design of and modifications to experiments and carry out as required by the project.
Support Malaysia plant start-up and liaise between Malaysia operations and Asia customers on quality and specification items (in collaboration with ALM process expert).
Liaise with regional sales and marketing organization on specific customer and market needs and translate into project proposals
Establish contacts and networks with internal/external customers with limited guidance. Independently assess and discuss customer needs, propose and execute proper approaches to problem solving.
Engage in global technical activities effectively liaising with colleagues in other regions and contribute to tackifier dispersion innovation pipeline.
Support other adhesive related technical activities in region.
And other duties as assigned to safely perform.

Education, Certifications & Licenses
PhD or MSc + 5 yrs relevant experience in the industry
Background and experience in Adhesives, preferably in water-borne adhesive systems
