TitleSenior Facility Manager

- Based in Beijing

- Responsible for North and Centre of China (Chengdu, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Chongqing, XiAn, Jinan, Tianjin, BOP, Shenyang, Harbin)


Key role is facility management in offices and lab

People shall have professional knowledge of facility management, experiences and awareness of related policies in locally and globally.
  • He/she shall have strong business sense, good communication skills.
  • He/she shall drive the alignment with cross function and control outstanding risks issues.
  • He/she shall work closely with laboratory team and all relevant end-users during project period and will contribute to full implementation



Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for facility management services meet the needs of the people that work in the buildings and lab.
  • Accountable for services such as cleaning, security and engineering and parking, Facilities managers are involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. Likely areas of responsibility include:
  • Preparing documents to put out tenders for contractors accord with project requirement.
  • Project management and supervising and coordinating the work of contractors;
  • Investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises;
  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money;
  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives;
  • Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
  • Directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling;
  • Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation;
  • Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organizing current premises;
  • Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies;
  • Coordinating and leading more team member to cover various areas of responsibility;
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences.
  • Support strategy planner, FM cluster in planning and securing milestone result.
  • Advise-where applicable in all sites.
  • Conduct tool box meetings and discussion, monitor elimination of deficiencies.
  • Carry out audits of operational or construction sites within China territory.
  • Support Animal health laboratory team on quality evaluation in site selection and so on.
  • Partner with cross functional departments to ensure continually meet standards both in local and global. Ensure that documentation and laboratory/office build up process and standard are in a constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.

  • Digital market sense of continue drive Facility management change/innovation.
  • Willing to accept and promote facility management new technology.
  • Other tasks assigned by line manager.



Knowledge:
  • Full knowledge and understanding of China pharmaceuticals regulations and laws.
  • Computer literacy or IT excellent.
  • Adequate university degree or equivalent knowledge.
  • 8 years experiences in a management role related to facility management or project management in pharmacy industry is preferred.
  • Certification in FMP or PMP.



Capability:
  • Good communication, organizational skills and professional knowledge focus.
  • Fluency in Chinese, excellent English verbal and writing skill.
  • Good social competence.
  • Certified FMP background in pharmacy industry is much better.
  • Lab Facility management experience.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking.
  • Advanced knowledge in the area of process improvement and business Mapping.
  • Demonstrated planning by managing multiple tasks, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
