The Product Manager manages enterprise (copper & fiber) solutions product portfolio in an efficient management style, maintains & grows the product portfolio in revenue and profit, creates value proposition, conducts market and competitor analysis, works on new product developments and product specifications, creates market launch strategies, provide sales and marketing support and manages product pricing together with the pricing manager.
Principle Job Accountabilities
Manages product portfolio, its revenue and profitability growth.
Responsible in driving new product development with engineering / sourcing functions and also acting as a project manager during the new product development projects.
Manage product roadmap and lifecycle from strategic planning through to end of life.
Conducts market and competitor analysis, systematically collecting and analysing market (PAM/SAM/TAM) data and competition initiates and their new product developments / product specifications.
Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to create a comprehensive go-to-market plan, marketing launch strategy, timing and sales training on how to market & sell the product.
Provides sales support and marketing support for customer projects and for fairs and exhibitions, identifies and develops additional global sales potential.
Manages product price lists, defines margin levels and coordinates with the pricing manager to ensure the growth in revenue and profitability for various product lines with the product portfolio.
Providing commercial & technical assistance to S&M, application engineers, distributors and customers as & when requested.
Visit key customers & distributors to understand VOC, conduct product trainings, educate them on new technologies & solutions, create value for our company, spec in key parameters & features that benefits the customers requirements, troubleshoot challenges they are facing with their current solution or from using our products.
Monthly reporting the key performance indicators (KPI) and target to improve (TTIs) metrics to management which includes but not limited to revenue, volume, margin, market share, new product sales, new product development cycle time, etc.
SIOP forecasting and driving growth opportunities for product lines.
Knowledge & Experience required
Bachelors degree in Engineering and MBA is highly preferred
8+ years of experience which includes min. 4-6 years of experience in product management and 1+ year in providing technical support in a multinational corporation.
Previous experience in structured cabling systems, data centres connectivity products, networking Ethernet switches, servers, storage devices or wireless products.
Industry experience in CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A LAN copper connectivity solutions, fiber connectivity solutions, TIA/EIA, IEEE, ISO, etc international standards & committees is preferred.
English proficiency to communicate verbally and in writing is mandatory.
Strong analytical skills and data driven product decision-making mind-set.
Self-discipline, proactive, initiative and willing to take on new challenges and very detailed driven to understand logic and reasoning.
Able to work under pressure and willing to travel throughout the country and overseas when required.
Managerial skill of planning, organizing and time management.
Must have good team working spirit and interpersonal skills.
The ability to persuade, convince and negotiate with sales and development associates.
