About the Job

As a Marketing Executive- based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for engaging in the sales & marketing lifecycle, through various marketing-driven activities to execute King Flair’s business strategy in optimising growth and sustainability.

You will be required to lead a junior staff and collectively work towards successful operational activities with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this person must be able penetrate and strengthen customer and factory relationship, through their knowledge of product lifecycle, customer strategy and industry trends

The ideal Marketing Executive will have a good balance of operation and tactical expertise with prior experience in factory and manufacturing plant management. Possess a strong sense of urgency, prioritisation and organisational skills. Acute business and risk acumen of both the macro and mirco environment, couple with the willingness to grow and contribute to the success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage and monitor marketing coordination, logistics and operations (i.e. order processing) within the division
  • To coach and guide the Marketing Coordinators and Assistant Marketing Executives on their daily work schedule and deliverables. Ensuring their tasks is completed in a timely and appropriate manner
  • To analyse and conduct due diligence in operational reviews and status, including but not limited to factory audit report, lab test protocol, tooling agreements, QC reports template for new product orders, shipment report , factory agreements (2 years renewal), air freight requesting and other official documentations which requires management sign off or approvals.
  • To be able to influence, negotiate and communicate appropriately with both external (i.e. Customers, factories etc.) and internal stakeholders (i.e. factory audit team, QC, engineers, logistics team etc.), when it comes to reviewing and driving corrective action plans, production development/ schedule, shipment delays, and timelines etc
  • To drive the initial cost analysis and breakdown for discussion and approval from Management, prior to negotiating production schedule, tooling schedule and costing with suppliers. Ensuring all quotation are approved prior to submission to customers
  • Proactively monitor and follow-up on production signed samples (with team leader’s approval), print proof arrangement and other operational procedurals (i.e. BOM, 2D drawings with tolerances, tooling drawing, pilot run, QAP etc.)
  • To drive and administer the customer-interaction model by ensuring a turnaround of no later than 48 hours; this also applies to supplier interaction and their operational requests, inclusive but not limited to, technical support from engineers, data retrieval to complete the order/production etc
  • Collaborative and pro-active interaction with supporting teams to address customers or supplier’s operational requests, adhering to a 48 hours window period for problem resolution and proper escalation to seniors for assistance
  • Report generation in the form of weekly marketing agenda, quotation project summary, customer correction plan report , debit note report, late shipment explanation report and any others as requested by the seniors in the division,
  • Lead the junior marketing team in the bi-weekly PC/QC meetings, supporting team meetings, any others as required
  • Ad hoc involvement in tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors in areas, inclusive but not limited to, new customer acquisitions, operational process enhancement (engaging external resources), widening manufacturing network etc.
  • Degree or diploma holder in the discipline of Business (minor in Marketing or Merchandising would be preferred) or Engineering
  • Min 4-6 years of relevant experience in a Sales & Marketing or Merchandising function within the household and/or kitchenware appliance industry
  • Verse and exposed to market penetration and development of OEM products
  • Prior experience in factory and manufacturing plant management is highly preferred
  • Exposure to overseas and/or Mainland China vendors liaison will be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese; Written English and Chinese is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office skills (i.e. Excel and PowerPoint) and Ordering System (prior experience with ERP system is advantageous)
  • Possess a good know-how of the sales & marketing engagement cycle within the respective industry along with acute business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Analytical, meticulous, collaborative, resourceful and the willingness to grow and learn within the organization will be highly sought
  • Some traveling is required
