JOB SUMMARY: The Investigator conducts various types of criminal, civil, and proprietary investigations, covert surveillance, brand protection, and background checks through the completion of data analysis, document review, research, and interviews. This role will perform risk assessments, collaborate with external agencies, and write comprehensive investigative reports.
Essential Functions Include:
Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance and excellence.
Independently develop and execute appropriate investigative strategy for assigned investigations.
Perform investigative preparatory work through data analysis, document review, research, and determination of necessary activities including; interviews, surveys, analyses, and data backups.
Evaluate business processes and case projects in terms of their risk, correctness, economic feasibility, and quality.
Assist in identifying trends and recommend corrective action to client.
Obtain and verify evidence by interviewing, conducting covert surveillance, and/or through the use of open-source and database information on suspects and witnesses.
Examine records/data, gather evidence, classify, and differentiate investigative elements.
Maintain proper evidence chain-of custody.
Prepare investigative reports and recommend further action steps through comprehensive presentations of results.
Establish partnerships and collaborate with law enforcement agencies.
Testify at hearings and legal proceedings, as needed.
Conduct security risk assessments, workplace violence activities, and crisis interventions.
Serve as the liaison between the client and Pinkerton to ensure all inquiries/concerns are addressed in a confidential and appropriate manner.

Bachelor’s degree with three or more years of investigative experience. Bi-lingual skills; English and Chinese are required.
