The cross asset technology role is for a talented General Ledger Software Engineer. Also, familiar with Agile methodology and have a good understanding of SDLC within the General Ledger Team based in Hong Kong and partnering with teams globally. The Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of systems development and testing, ensuring compatibility with enterprise and solutions architecture.
The role will require liaising with business (Finance / Corporate Controllers, Product Controllers) based in the mainland China and technology counterparts in all lines of Business across the globe during Requirements, Development, Testing, Implementation & Post-production phase of the project.
Prepare functional specification and technical specification
Perform functional setup of the financial application
Prepare and execute test cases to ensure the quality of deliverables in every testing cycles.
You will develop a good understanding of End to End business processes.
II. Ideal Candidate Profile
Associate Working proficiency in functional and technical design of finance application / modules: General Ledger, PRC chart of account, Account Payable, Fixed Assets, T&E, VAT invoice management, etc
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Hands-on implementation experience with Yonyou, KingDee, Oracle Financials, etc
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and the ability to work on their own initiative while being a strong team player.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate accurately, concisely and with tact and diplomacy when appropriate.
Fluent speaking and writing in English and Mandarin
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills - excellent attention to detail.
Be conscientious, reliable and inquisitive with a keen desire to learn, not just gain the knowledge necessary for the job but also the underlying reasons and drivers.
The ability to work under pressure within agreed timelines and to support multiple tasks in parallel.
III. Required Skills
Good communication skills with Mandarin, able to work with PRC finance controllers for requirement collection, UAT test cases walkthrough, etc
5+ year or above hands-on application implementation experience with Yonyou, KingDee, Oracle Financials, etc on both technical and functional domains
Define functional and technical test cases
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, VBA
BS/BA Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science / Finance
Working location in HK, willing to travel to PRC (e.g. Shanghai / Beijing) on request
