PurposeProvide strategic leadership and management of the Asia Pacific Regional Office for Executive Education in Hong Kong, PRC.  The executive director supervises a staff and is responsible for all aspects of the open enrollment and customized portfolios of executive education programs. This includes overseeing and participating in strategic planning, determining program portfolio mix based on market analysis, new business development, faculty engagement, key account management, program management, program delivery and the processes and systems associated with all of the above. Responsibilities include meeting enrollment targets, revenue goals, client and participant satisfaction standards, faculty engagement levels, and margin goals.


Strategy Development and Execution

  • Develop and implement strategic plan for the Asia Pacific Region, integrating and aligning that plan with other key areas of executive education and the business school.
  • Achieve revenue and margin targets

Business Development 

  • Establish relationships with large corporate clients, at senior executive levels. Develop and deliver proposals and presentations and/or direct team to do same. Secure new business and direct the delivery of that business through staff and faculty management activities.
  • Manage, sustain, and grow relationships and scope of business with key client organizations.

Management and Leadership 

  • Direct the marketing, business development, operations, administrative, and all other activities of the APRO to ensure achievement of strategic goals as well as compliance and consistency with University and executive education process and systems.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Considerable experience in management, leadership, and supervision is required; experience in the management and leadership in an executive education or corporate learning environment is desired.
  • Contributes to a positive work community by approaching work with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind; treats others with respect, dignity, and in a manner where individuals feel they belong; listens, values feedback, and learns from the perspectives of others.
  • Extensive experience in business and industry in Asia-Pacific.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of culture and business practices in the region. 
  • Experience in design of executive education / management development programs. 
  • Solid understanding of the organizational learning tenets and the corporate learning function. 
  • Ability to travel throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Master’s degree, MBA
