Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Corporate with regional and local teams to ensure highest level of member satisfaction.
  • Develop community and create connections between members, including member introductions, overseeing events, electronic and print communications, presence on social media platforms and building walkthroughs.
  • Holding events to ensure there is a good balance of educational, lifestyle, member appreciation, and sales-related events
  • Proactively engage members to discover and understand members’ objectives, i.e. using member service request as an opportunity to learn more about member, member’s business and any other needs member may have. Identify opportunities and act on them to connect members.
  • Design and implement guidelines and best practices for both online and offline communities to optimize member experience. Exercise discretion in guiding prospective members, including possibly gatekeeping where business may not be in the interests of the greater community.
  • Moderate and facilitate online forum by posting relevant TEC and industry content, participating in conversations with forum members, and managing negative comments/complaints in a respectful manner that reflects the TEC value system.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation for all our new members
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports on the community and identify areas for improvement
  • Attend local industry, business and public events as TEC brand ambassador.
  • Create public events and programs to expand TEC Community bring in potential clients and partners.

Requirements:
  • University graduate with 5 years experience
  • Event management, customer service experience required
  • Passion and understanding for entrepreneurial/ business communities
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
  • Outgoing personality – CMs are required to walk into networking events and be comfortable introducing themselves and others to clients and guests
  • Exceptionally communicative – fluent in local language (CMs in China fluent in Mandarin). CM must excel at clear, tailored online communication. They embrace and value the differences among different communication platforms, and are eager to explore the best methods for interacting with community members.
  • Writing skills – a background in journalism or experience with writing is a plus since CMs create significant content for TEC.
  • Social media experience – experience with social media tools.
  • Education – Degree in communications/ hospitality management is a plus.
