Job Description

Our client is a well and long established Asian based financial institution with SFC Regulated Activity Type 1, 2, 4, 6 & 9 business license. Currently she is seeking a high calibre candidate for the following position:

Compliance Manager



Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing, implementing / enforcing, maintaining and reviewing compliance programs, manuals, policies and procedures to ensure due compliance with the legislative and regulatory requirements of the Securities and Futures Ordinance and the Codes, Guidelines and Circulars issued by the SFC
  • Identify compliance risks and make recommendations concerning safeguard of compliance risks in business activities
  • Communicate with regulatory bodies, including SFC and HKEx, etc.
  • Draw up various compliance training materials, including CPT material, internal compliance notices, etc.




Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience in Brokerage firms
  • Well-versed in Hong Kong Securities and Futures Ordinance
  • Proactive and patient with strong determination to understand thoroughly about contentious issues
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and financial markets and the ability to identify and analyze complex regulatory, compliance, and business issues in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with regulators and different stakeholders from front office to back office
  • Strong analytical ability and quick problem identification skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese with fluency in Mandarin.
