We are looking for an experienced team lead with a proven track record of successfully delivering analytical projects to fulfil our Analytics Airport Capacity Enhancement (ACE) Lead role, which will be part of our busy and growing team within our Hong Kong office.

The purpose of the role is to manage, plan, execute, develop and report on assigned technical tasks and to proactively support the management of the overall programme of work within our Analytics team based in Hong Kong in support of Analytics activities which will include projects in the Middle East and Asia Pacific region. You will lead a team of analysts to deliver a portfolio of ACE work, in collaboration with our UK based team, by providing expert scientific, technical or analytical knowledge in Analytics, providing technical direction and leadership to project stakeholders. This role is based in Hong Kong

Key areas of responsibility are: 

  • Line management or technical leadership of up to ~5 staff, setting and measuring challenging objectives
  • Proactively driving improvement in the relevant scientific, technical or analytical areas. Will be responsible for many tasks or work packages within the work programmes
  • Proactively support the Middle East & Asia Pacific customer account team in responding to and developing technical level relationships with key customers and other external stakeholders
  • Project Management, plans, designs, implements and reports, identifying and resolving conflicts and issues
  • Manages and completes tasks, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales 
  • Carrying out or reviewing scientific, technical or data analysis and drawing technical conclusions
  • Technical Problem Solving. Anticipating and solving routine and non-routine technical problems
  • Contributes to continuous improvement, considering a variety of innovative and creative solutions
  • Develops and maintains a high level of technical and professional expertise, coaching and assisting others in these areas
  • Liaises effectively with customers, shaping their needs and identifying new opportunities

Background, Qualifications and Skills 

  • Degree in a numerate subject (which could be scientific or business oriented) or equivalent (e.g. other qualifications and relevant work experience)
  • Some familiarity with European and world-wide developments in Air Traffic Management (ATM) as required
  • An ability to lead, motivate and inspire an effective team culture
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows / Office environment, or equivalent and use of appropriate programming languages, databases, statistical packages and models
  • Produces well documented, high quality technical work, and actively determines when work is of a sufficient standard
  • An ability to negotiate with technical, operational and non-operational staff on a wide range of technical and non-technical topics, including the ability to present clear and persuasive business cases and arguments
  • Able to communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
